The Goal training program with DVD is adapted from the book of the same name by Eli Goldratt on his " Theory of Constraints": What To Change-What To Change To-How to cause the change. "The Goal", training program on DVD is a powerful tool that can be used to create agreement.
The main character is Alex Rogo, who manages a production plant owned by UniCo Manufacturing, where everything is always behind schedule and things are looking dire. At the beginning of the book, Bill Peach, a company executive, tells Alex that he has three months to turn operations at his plant around from being unprofitable and unreliable to being successful. His distant acquaintance, Jonah (a physicist), who many believe represent Goldratt himself, helps him solve the company's problems through a series of telephone calls and short meetings
The lessons to be learned in this program are not just limited to the beginning of the implementation process. We know that reaching agreement on the change in direction is not a one time effort. As the company moves in a new direction, there will be some unavoidable diffusion. To prevent too much diffusion there is the need to repeatedly realign interpretations that might necessitate using the program periodically as a refresher.
This workshop is a perfect tool to use when changes are needed in a process and agreement by all members of a team is necessary to implement the change.
